Vittoriale degli Italiani
The Vittoriale degli Italiani is a complex of buildings, streets, squares, an open-air theatre, gardens and waterways erected between 1921 and 1938 in Gardone Riviera, on the Brescia side of Lake Garda. The poet and novelist Gabriele d’Annunzio commissioned the complex. Visit the museum and gardens. Immerse yourself in the history of Lake Garda.
Limonaie di Gargnano
The lemon houses are terraced structures, consisting of high perimeter walls enclosing them on three sides and high stone pillars bound together by a frame of chestnut beams. The Gargnanese landscape is unmistakably characterised by the traditional cultivation of citrus fruits. It is currently possible to visit a lemon grove in Gargnano that is still preserved and maintained according to historical techniques: La Malora lemon grove.
Cascate del Varone
The Varone Waterfall has been famous since the 19th century. It is one of the main natural attractions of the Upper Garda area. Carved out by the Magnone stream, it can be visited along a special path inside a park designed to create a reassuring magic circle around those who access it. In fact, the gardens inside are full of flowers and plants from all over the world, perfectly recognisable by the name that always accompanies them, and even a Zen garden.
Paper Museum
The Toscolano Maderno Paper Museum is a cultural centre located in the Valley of the Paper Mills in Toscolano Maderno, on the western shore of Lake Garda, within the Alto Garda Bresciano Park. The exhibition space is housed in an ancient 15th-century paper mill, called “Maìna Inferiore”.
The museum is recognised by the Lombardy Region as a museum collection and opens annually from 15 March to 15 October.
